CELTIC have issued a very strong statement on the behaviour of their defender Boli Bolingoli after it emerged he had skipped out to Spain during the squad’s two days off last week.

The current guidelines prohibit players from going outside their sporting bubble and just general guidelines demand anyone coming from Spain must isolate for two weeks.

It has been well explained to every player in Scottish football before the restart and after.

There’s not a situation where this could have ever been okay in the current climate and Celtic have been left embarrassed and angered by the actions of their player.

The statement reveals the club have been in touch with all SPFL clubs to apologise for the behaviour of their squad member and promise to take the appropriate disciplinary action against Boli Bolingoli.

It’s difficult to see a road back for Boli at Celtic after this serious breach.
