Celtic have today released another statement regarding the Sky Sports debacle which saw the broadcaster apologise to the club for inserting misleading and bogus subtitles onto an interview conducted by Alfredo Morelos.

The club sent out a first statement regarding the issue, asking for Sky to investigate the matter. All they’ve done to this point is remove the interview and apologise. They have not indicated to Celtic why this translation made it onto their platforms and have not satisfied the clubs grievance.

Given the severity of that the subtitles seemed to suggest with regards to Celtic fans, it’s little wonder the club have come out and demanded further action which sees the club report Sky Sports to the broadcasting regulator.

Sky Sports are a major organisation and to allow this kind of stuff to go on shouldn’t go unpunished. Who we produced the interview was comfortable putting it online without proper checks.

The gloves appear to be off.
