Celtic are reportedly keen on signing Hatayspor striker Aaron Boupendza.

According to 90Min, the club is keeping an eye on the Gabon international, alongside several different English Premier League teams such as the likes of Tottenham Hotspur, Leicester City and West Ham to name a few.

This season the 24-year old has scored 18 goals in 28 total appearances in his debut season since joining from French side Bordeaux.

The club will likely need a striker to come in the summer with it being accepted by the vast majority that Odsonne Edouard will be departing after four years in Glasgow.

It is thought that this deal could cost upwards of £8.5 million in the summer to secure the services of Boupendza. So with that being the case, it’s probably safe to say there is nothing to this rumour anyway and it is unlikely we will see the striker become a Hoops signing, with many EPL clubs waiting in the wings with millions of cash.

To go with that, the up and coming rebuild in the summer is absolutely massive for the club and as much as we would want to see the board splash out around £8 million on one position, it will probably be more spread around the squad to cover several different positions.
