CELTIC have sold out of Glasgow Derby briefs after the club put on sale the tickets that would have gone to Ibrox fans, had they decided to take up the allocation.

The ticket office put out a communication on Thursday morning telling Celtic season ticket holders they could pick up extra derby tickets. There was only a small amount and they were gone in minutes.

Celtic could sell some added tickets over and above the what they would have given the Ibrox club, because there’s now no need for segregation between home and away supporters.

This will be the first Derby since the 3-0 drubbing at Celtic Park where there will be a all home support.

The ibrox club were offered their seats as usual, but decided NOT to take them after Celtic made it clear they wouldn’t be taking their tickets for Ibrox due to safety concerns.

The game takes place on April 8th and a win could put Celtic on the brink of another title victory. The lucky fans who snapped up extra seats this morning will be delighted, but there are many more disgruntled at the ticket website and it’s frailties.

  1. 100 % correct decision…and hope cfc play the cowardly Lazarus fc cardboard gangsters at their David Murray game of cat n mouse nonsense and make the Current full house at Celtic park derby games from NOW on “

  2. Let’s keep it like this, everybody safe,Celtic supporters seeing a game that a hun would get to watch.
    Thank goodness .

  3. It’s a joke! One of the biggest derby’s on the planet will be a distant memory if opposition fans can’t attend the games. The atmosphere and the banter is what made it the best fixture on the planet.
The SFA need to stop pandering to the Orcs from Ibrokes and tell them to return to full allocations, stop trying to sabotage tv and sponsorship deals or get out of the league.

  4. The atmosphere and banter! My god no such thing at these games more like anti Irish bigotry and hatred. However! Quick question ?why do the spare tickets go to season ticket holders before non season ticket holders?

    • My thoughts exactly Brian. I have a ST so I can’t be accused of sour grapes but a STH will obviously be going to the game so why should we be allowed to allowed to apply for another when it will be going to someone else?
Not everyone can afford a ST and there will be many who buy tickets on a match by match basis so why not give those guys a chance?
And don’t even start on their unfair closed shop arrangement they have for away games…I don’t know of any other club who treat their STH like dirt when it comes to away match tickets. Should be an all-in ballot for all the away tickets, might improve the behaviour.
