Celtic take on St Johnstone in the semi-final of the League Cup on Saturday.

The two most successful clubs of the last decade will go head to head for a place on the final.

St Johnstone’s double last season was an incredible achievement by Callum Davidson and his men and they’re looking for a repeat after cracking cup football.

For Celtic, it’s about getting back on the saddle after a whole season without a trophy.

The SFA have confirmed the referee for the game on Saturday and it will be none other than Nick Walsh. The referee has been at the source of more than a few bizarre calls lately, and in this particular fixture.

The footage below shows how badly Walsh got it wrong when Cameron Carter-Vickers was kicked and pushed but also received a yellow card.

We hope referees are irrelevant when it comes to the outcome of any particular game. Given St Johnstone’s propensity to be very rough, it’s imperative the referee gets the decisions correct and doesn’t allow brutal tactics to be rewarded.

  1. It’s only a matter of time before the refs here are allowed two footed over the ball tackles on our players…or how about booking our goalie for ‘diving’?
And when the cunts get in the way of our quick passing (to cause fractional, but vital delays in our attacks) we’ll be ordered to play the game at a pace to suit unfit for purpose officials, for the greater good of Scottish Football.
    Like i said previously.. CUNTS.
