The Mail Online is reporting that Neil Lennon has sent out scouts to bring a fourth striker into the club in the upcoming January transfer window. For the past two Decembers, the Bhoys have had trouble fielding a team with strikers due to injury and shortages.

Lennon’s latest target is £5m rated striker Andraz Sporar. The twenty-five-year-old Slovenian international is contracted with his current club Slovan Bratislava until 2023.

The forward has bagged seven goals so far this season from 17 appearances. The newspaper is claiming that Celtic sent scouts for Bratislava’s Europa League game on Thursday night. Sporar’s team lost but he did manage to get himself on the scoresheet.

It is ridiculous to think a club as big as Celtic have spent the last two seasons struggling to play a natural striker in Glasgow Derbies. Last season in December, Brendan Rodgers had to start Mikey Johnson up front as a lone striker. This season, Lewis Morgan has played up front on his own for most of December.

The Celtic boss will be pleased to have all his three strikers back in contention now for the run into the winter break. Both Griffiths and Bayo played on Thursday night against Cluj and Lennon has said Edouard will start against Hibs this weekend.
