AS Roma have once again been linked to Celtic fullback Jeremie Frimpong. In order to make a move though, they need to Hoops to drop their asking price.

As reported by Glasgow Times, according to reports in Italy by Gazetta Dello Sport, Roma are interested in buying the Celtic right-back but the asking price of €15 million is too much for them.

In recent weeks, the Dutch youngster has been linked with moves to teams such as Southampton and the Italian giants. However, these links have been shut down.

With this reported interested coming out once again, it does lead you to think they are interested in making a move for one of Celtic’s assets.

Frimpong signed for the club in the summer of 2019 from Manchester City and has kicked on as a player ever since becoming the first-choice right-back at the club.

It is also thought that City has a large sell-on fee included in the talented youngster contract so the Celtic board will not want to let him go cheaply.

At this stage of his development, it is probably best that Frimpong continues in Scotland and it is highly likely he will for a few more seasons yet.
