Reports this evening suggest Man City defender Dedryck Boyata is on his way to Celtic on a PERMANENT deal.

The out of favour defender has been told by the club that he can move on this summer. After talks with Celtic last month and again last week it looks like he’s ready to commit his future to the Scottish Champions.

He has arrived in Glasgow for his medical and it’s believed he will sign a 4-year-deal as early as tomorrow. It’s believed Celtic will pay a small fee to City for the players services.

Dedryck has found first team opportunities hard to come by at the Etihad and will find it increasingly difficult now that Celtic favourite Jason Denayer has returned to Manchester.

The 24 year-old defender would fit the mould of a strong and solid centre back. With the clock ticking on next seasons Champions qualifiers already, it seems Celtic are looking to do their business as early as possible.
