Usually, at this time of year, we are used to seeing Celtic playing in the Scottish cup semi-finals. However, this year we of course won’t be there due to being knocked out at the earlier stages.

But, it looks like the club could be there in some capacity to scout a player who we have reportedly watched several times this season.

As reported by Not the Old Firm, scouts will be at today’s game between St Johnstone and St Mirren to watch it young midfielder, Ali McCann.

The 21-year old has played 41 times for Callum Davidson’s impressive side this season and been one of the standout players within the team, which saw the Hoops supposedly scout the Northern Ireland international back in November.

With the impressive season that McCann has had for the Saints, it is guaranteed there will be interest in the youngster over the summer.

It appears that Celtic could be keen, running the rule over the player on several occasions. So, it will be interesting to see if there is any bid placed, in the next few months.
