It was late Saturday evening when the news broke Celtic had a bid accepted for St Mirren midfielder Dylan Reid.

The Scottish Champions are not just planning for now, but for the future. Chris McCart and the youth scouts have identified Dylan as a massive prospect. The club are willing to put down £125k for the midfielder – money St Mirren don’t feel they can pass up.

Scott Burns is now reporting in the ScottishExpress that Celtic will hold talks with Reid on Monday with a view to securing his signature. Burns also writes Rangers have had a bid rejected for the Scotland under 17 international.

Ange Postecoglou has admitted he has very little to do with the B side recruitment. He leaves that to others but they attempt to find players who can fit into Ange’s system down the line.

The Celtic manager has his plate full with the first team and the small matter of getting some more deals over the line before the end of the window.
