Celtic will find out later on today what the punishment will be after being handed a charge by UEFA for illicit banners and chanting during the 2-1 win at home to Lazio last month.

The Celtic fans displayed several anti-fascist banners before the game to make it clear to the visitors, who had been seen in Glasgow earlier in the day brandishing nazi salutes, that there’s no room for fascism in football.

UEFA have been very unclear with the club about what banner and what chant has landed them the charge and it’s unlikely we’ll find out when the punishment is handed down.

Celtic have already been charged three times this season and fined by the governing body.

There has been no word from UEFA yet about any extra charges for the away leg with supporters use of flares inside the stadium but they have still to deal with the last round of Europa League disciplinary fixtures.
