Celtic now know they will got to Latvia on Thursday to take on Riga in their Europa League tie.

There was a lot of uncertainty surrounding the game between Riga and Tre Flori but after the game was abandoned on Thursday night, they played the fixture out early this morning with Riga winning 1-0.

This sets up a date with the Scottish champions who have to go through two qualifiers in order to reach the group stage of the Europa League.

The bhoys will be in Latvia next week to hopefully get a result and set up a play off tie where there could be some very difficult opponents.

First up for Neil Lennon and his men will be Livingston at Celtic Park this weekend. A win on Saturday would put them top of the league before their rivals play on Sunday.

It’s imperative we have some sort of European football this season, and the team must be wary of another exit.
