Celtic are set to announce their second January exit on Thursday with Liam Shaw signing for Motherwell until the end of the season. [SunSport]
The day started with Ewan Henderson moving out on loan to Hibs with a view to signing permanently in the summer for the Edinburgh side.
Liam will now go out on loan to the Steelmen but unlike Ewan, the midfielder will be due back at Lennoxtown in the summer to review his progress.
Shaw signed for Celtic on a pre-contract from Sheffield Wednesday last year but has struggled to get much game time to this point.
The midfielder’s in the bracket of players who aren’t considered first team players as of yet but are too old for the B team in the Lowland league where there’s strict rules for Celtic.
Motherwell find themselves in fourth place in the SPFL and want to build on their good start to the season.
Liam could really help them in the middle of the park and in doing so could pave a way for his Celtic Park return this summer.
