Celtic are reportedly set to challenge the SFA’s charge on Albian Ajeti after he was offered a two-game ban for supposed simulation in the game against Kilmarnock on Tuesday night.

As reported by the Glasgow Times, Celtic are planning to appeal the decision, which will be fast-tracked and decided in front of a panel of referees on Monday 8th of February.

Ajeti received the punished after the compliance officer judged the Swiss striker to have dived after winning a penalty, nipping in front of on-rushing Killie goalkeeper Colin Doyle. The resulting penalty was of course slotted away by Odsonne Edouard.

Many fans have called for the decision to be overturned, with several pieces of footage being released on social media which shows the contact which brought Ajeti down.

Celtic will now stand against this charge, early next week and I’m themselves as well as a lot of supporters, will be confident that this decision can be overturned.

  1. Yes he did dive with minimal defection of a slug sticking out one of its feelers/eyeball. He didn’t ask for the penalty desision, the BITB made it for him. Without malice may I state. Call it as you see it. He never play acted to get anyone carded or sent for an early bath. Big fine for he if anything. Not removed from the field of play.
