CELTIC have had their proposal to install a large rotating screen outside Celtic Park rejected by Glasgow City Council.

We reported yesterday the club has been told it would not be allowed to go ahead with the project after consultation which has taken two years for the council to decide on the feature.

Celtic wanted to install the screen and have advertisements, live footage and news on the screen for matchdays, adding to fans experience but the council has put their foot down.

So, what next?

Celtic has three months to appeal the decision by GCC to try and get the decision overturned. It’s unknown how set Celtic are on wanting this feature outside the ground but as they continue to try and evolve the matchday experience they may feel like it’s worth going back to the council.

The club had plans approved to build a hotel, museum and ticket office outside the ground a couple of years ago but there’s no signs of the project starting anytime soon.
