Get French Football are reporting Celtic are set to make a formal approach for towering Toulouse centre back Cristopher Jullien.

Celtic have been linked with a move for the player over the past two weeks but some have put the move down as a no go because of Toulouse’s reported asking price of around €8m.

This may not have deterred Celtic from testing the French club’s resolve as they look to add quality to their back line before the season begins.

Jullien, 26, would be considered quite the coup for the Scottish Champions if they were to land the player.

A deal seems a long way off but Neil Lennon did confirm he expects deals to be done over the next month – is one of them Jullien?

We await news of Turnbull’s confirmation and the outcome of more Arsenal interest in Kieran Tierney. It’s going to be a busy and rather anxious summer for the Celtic support as we wait to see what the squad looks like come September.

  1. ‘Setting to make a bid’, ‘Looking at’, ‘are interested in’…All rubbish. This guy has been ‘on the radar’ for months so what is the delay? Oh aye wait until someone else actually ‘tables a bid’, which Celtic seldom do, and then claim we just can’t compete with the big boys. Really? What is wrong with actually making an offer? Are they waiting until the new season to watch him again. They have watched him for months. He is either good enough or not.
