Celtic will find out today who they will face in the first qualifying round of the Champions League.

Normally, the qualifiers would be well underway but were in a peculiar situation where the qualifiers have been pushed back and will run at the same time as UEFA finish off last seasons competition.

For Celtic, they must overcome four qualifiers, three of which will be straight one legged knockout ties – if they get to the play-offs it will be a two legged tie to see who makes the group stage.

So who can Celtic get in the first round of qualifiers?

Djurgardens

KR Reykjavik

Linfield

The game will be played on either the 18/19 August and whoever is drawn first will be at home.

UEFA have allowed for neutral venues if the country cannot host the tie.

Celtic will be looking to hit the ground running and finally make the Champions League for the first time in three seasons.

Here are the dates you need to keep in mind going forward:

First qualifying round: 18/19 August

Second qualifying round: 25/26 August

Third qualifying round: 15/16 September

Play-offs: 22-30 September

Group stage: 20/21 and 27/28 October, 3/4 and 24/25 November, 1/2 and 8/9 December.

The draw for the second qualifying round will be on Monday.
