CELTIC look set to make a massive investment that will see Celtic Park transformed even more into one of Europe’s elite stadiums.

Plans have been drawn up to introduce a new state of the art sound system as well as new state of the art lighting in a multi-million pound investment by the Celtic board.

Celtic have already transformed the outside of Celtic Park with the Celtic way and have further plans to develop the area with a hotel and museum.

The plans to upgrade inside the stadium will be welcomed by supporters also.

Celtic will truly be one of the need to visit venues in the future with a whole day planned round a game in the East End of Glasgow.

The second phase of their hybrid pitch plan will be coming into effect this summer so it’s all go at Paradise.

A club insider told the Daily Record – “The club is in great shape and only going in one direction.

“The new investment and stadium additions continues progression and will make Celtic Park the country’s best sporting venue and one of the best in Europe.

  1. Oh super dooper. Any chance of a right back, 2 CBs a midfielder and a striker to enable the team to play in Europe. Might be a top class european stadium but it only becomes so if you qualify to play in Europe. Enough of the museums, hotels and sound systems, all the wee squirrels to distract from yet another insipid, woeful performance at home, in front of a half empty stadium. The 4th 0-0 each draw in the last 8 home games. Wow, maybe someone can comment on the last time that happened. Is it another record? But some players to make the team worth watching or those season books will become harder to sell, especially if we are out of Europe by mid-August. Light and sound systems indeed!

  2. I was hoping this was about expanding the main stand roof level to make it even all around the stadium, can’t be that hard make it media and top dollar seats….

  3. Think we should be doing something with the main stand. It’s in need of a good face lift. I know we can’t do anything to the outside but the inside is a riot. We could get the metal stantions at either side of it took away and could then use the seats that get blocked by them to fit more fans in

    • I was told years ago by John Fallon that the foundations aren’t big enough to raise the roof. Must be a complete rebuild of that stand to get it to match the others.

  4. Celtic seem to be focused on everything other than the team. Regardless of how they attempt to dress it up this has been a frustrating and disappointing season results and performances wise. 5 0-0 home drawa and we are spending 4 million quid on a light show. Priorities please. it will be harder than ever to qualify for the CL (to not qualify is an absolute disaster) as the teams we are up against regularly outspend us and are not standing still. I am talking about the other qualifiers not the top teams. And that just gets us in to get hammered 7-0. Celtic have only spent more than 4 million about 6 times in our history to strengthen the team and with the exception of Ntcham and Brown (11 years ago) all of these were under Martin O’Neill. We need a right back, 2 decent CBs a midfielder and a striker. Before up grading for Europe make sure you qualify for Europe. If we draw ten games and lose 3 next season we will not be champions. We are going backwards. Winning the treble this season demonstrates how bad our opponents are not our strength. We certainly didn’t need 70,000 seats last night and fauiluer to qualify for the CL will see a similar scene repeated throughout next season. Unless we play a dead team.

    • I think you need a serious reality check John.
You also need to look at the way Fergus McCann did things.
Sustainability is the key, and if you honestly think a team from Scotland, yes, even us, are going to conquer Europe again, I suspect that noise I hear is your alarm clock.

      • I heartily agree Joe. Plenty of negativity and a complete lack of reality.
        Sustainability is the key.

  5. Well played Celtic .. a well run club operating within its means … we were set up spectacularly by wee fergus .. a statue should be erected for our saviour who yes made money but he delivered on just about everything he said he would .. I would believe at the right time for Celtic our existing main stand will be developed I suppose taking a capacity to abt 75 000 … it will happen .. I thank fergus for setting us up and thank the club for carefully managing our proud club … stay focussed … HH
