Celts Are Here have reported on more than one occasion that Brendan Rodgers was interested in signing Saint Mirren playmaker Lewis Morgan.

According to the Herald, Celtic have bought Morgan for just over £300k, the deal will see Morgan sign the dotted line but remain at Saint Mirren until the end of the season.

The majority of Brendan Rodgers signings have been with the future in mind. He has said many times the biggest or one of the biggest attractions to staying at Celtic is the opportunity to develop players. Something he said that wouldn’t happen down south.

Marvin Compper was in Glasgow yesterday and he will be announced shortly as Celtic’s first signing. Unlike Morgan, it is expected that the 32-year-old will get straight into the action in January.
