Celtic are set to miss out on Vinicius Souza’s signature, with the Brazilian likely to join Dutch side PSV this summer. [Daily Express]

The Brazilian was identified by Celtic and listed as a target, but the club grew frustrated with the player’s stalling. After they demanded a decision was made, it seems the player has snubbed Celtic and their Champions League football.

It was a potential signing that had fans excited. Lommel was keen to loan the player and would only be open to selling the Brazilian for a fee of over £8 million. With Celtic’s strong links to the City Group, it was hoped Celtic would be able to ease through the negotiations.

Ange Postecoglou will Have Another Trick up his Sleeve

As we saw in January, after Riley McGree snubbed Celtic, Ange Postecoglou wasted no time in turning his attention to another target, bringing Matt O’Riley to the club.

The manager will have a few players he’ll want to bring to the club and will never have all his eggs in one basket. It’ll be interesting to see how swiftly Celtic moves to bring in a holding midfielder.
