CELTIC will be hoping they can secure the return of Jota permanently after it’s being reported that the backup plan [Daily Mail] in the form of Ola Solbakken has agreed on terms with Italian giants Roma. [Roma Press]

Roma are still to reach an agreement with Bodo/Glimt, and the Norwegian club are willing to accept a small fee for the winger.

With Celtic’s lack of reported activity to lure the 23-year-old to Parkhead, can Celtic fans be optimistic about Jota’s permanent future?

The club are desperate to keep the tricky winger at Paradise for at least the following season, with the club entering discussions with the player’s representatives. Some reports have suggested a positive outcome, but I won’t believe anything until Celtic releases pictures of him standing with the Celtic jersey in his hands.

Winning the league now means Celtic are guaranteed Champions League football next season. Hopefully, this will attract the player to stay at Parkhead.
