CELTIC look set to make their second official summer with John McGinn coming in for a fee totalling over £3million.

Brendan Rodgers has been an admirer of the player for quite some time but has waited until this summer to firm up his interest in the midfield ace.

Hibernian originally kicked out a £1.5million bid for the Scottish International late last week and told Celtic they would have to up their bud if they want to land the player.

Since then, the clubs have been locked in talks and discussed Scott Allan going the other way as part of a deal.

It’s unclear at this point if Allan will become specifically part of the McGinn transfer or to make things less complicated Hibernian buy him from the club in a separate transaction.

What we do know is both players are patiently waiting for the clubs to come to an agreement.

John McGinn is desperate to sign for Celtic and knows it could only be days away.
