Celtic are reportedly set to tie down talented left-back Mitchel Frame, fighting off interest from several English Premiership sides who were interested in bringing the youngster down south.

As Celtic fans will be well aware by now, we have come accustomed to losing out on some of our best talents to European giants such as Bayern Munich and Manchester City, to name a few.

The most recent example coming just last week, as the club’s second-youngest ever player, Ben Doak, gets set to head down south to join EPL side, Liverpool.

During the week, though, there was some positive news when it was revealed that talented midfielder Daniel Kelly had signed a three-year professional contract with the club, with clubs such as Arsenal and Benfica interested.

It appears that the club are going to succeed in tying down another talent, with a report from the Daily Record suggesting that Mitchel Frame will sign a deal to remain with the Hoops, despite interest from Manchester City and offers from Tottenham Hotspur.

This will come as a huge boost, especially after losing a big talent like Ben Doak over the past seven days.

Hopefully, this is a trend we continue to see, thanks to the work done by Ange Postecoglou in showing youth players there is a possible transition into becoming a first-team player further down the line.
