Celtic will take on Aberdeen’s conquerers in the quarter final of the Premier Sports Cup.

The Hoops have been drawn at home to Raith Rovers after the lower League side shocked everyone by downing Scott Brown’s new side.

Celtic won the League cup four times out of the last five and will be desperate to try and get it back this season under Ange.

They beat Hearts 3-2 to progress to the next round. The score line flattered the Edinburgh side — the bhoys outplayed the Jambos for most of the game and while 3-2 suggests a tight game it was anything but close.

Raith Rovers will be hoping for a giant killing when they head to Glasgow — The Hoops we’re knocked out of the competition by Ross County at home last seats under Neil Lennon. We can’t take anything for granted.

The last time the two sides met in this tournament — Celtic won 2-0 thanks to goals from Kris Commons and Stefan Johansen back in 2015.

The bhoys have a lot of big games coming up and while the league will clearly be the priority, getting silverware before the new year would give everyone a massive boost.
