There can be no argument after this evening, we all know who Celtic’s penalty taker is from now on.

Juranovic was back on spot-kick duties in Germany and the defender cheekily scored a panenka to bring the game level in the first half.

Giakoumakis took the very late penalty against Livingston earlier this month and missed it, costing the club two points. Juranovic was on the pitch at the time and could’ve taken the penalty that day. Many fans were surprised the Croatian didn’t get the nod, Ange explaining after the game Giakoumakis was the nominated penalty taker.

Juranovic had taken two previous penalties and scored both, the defender made it three for three against the German’s and will now surely become Celtic’s first-choice.

Ange Postecoglou isn’t daft and knows the momentum is with Josip – anyone else taking them while the Croatian is on the field will be under immense pressure.

Celtic put up a spirited effort, but in the end were undone by two great finishes.

  1. Bit scant at the back door I thought, certainly for one of the goals. Otherwise we gave it a right good go and nearly got the result. We’ll done lads.

  2. Ralston was shocking tonight always missing our running back when a player is runing at him he cost us both goals the 1st and 3rd ones.
