CELTIC thought they were top heavy when it came to attacking midfielders at the start of the season.

With Roberts coming back on-loan and Hayes coming in from Aberdeen, Brendan Rodgers was happy to send Ryan Christie out on-loan to The Dons.

Since then, both Celtic players have been struck by longterm injury’s, leaving the Irishman short of options and one more injury away from having to change his shape completely.

With Ryan at Aberdeen, it would make a lot of sense if the club looked to cut the player’s loan short in order to bolster our attacking options.

There is no doubt Christie would be getting his chance now if he wasn’t out on-loan as Brendan looks to freshen up his team.

Aberdeen have just re-signed former Celt Nial McGinn which gives them a new option up top. Could they be persuaded to let Christie go?
