Celtic tonight released a statement after The Rangers released their own warped, ridiculous and laughable statement earlier today.

“The Club’s Directors are fully aware of the disgust felt by Rangers supporters who were subjected to a sickening and shameful display of outright sectarian hatred towards them.

“We also share the fans’ anger and will be contacting Club 1872 as a matter of urgency.”

The statement lacks basic professionalism, self-awareness and fuels the most dangerous people in their support.

No dignity at all from a club who OBVIOUSLY have footage of their fans ripping up the toilets in Celtic Park while singing “up to their knees in Fenian blood” and singing about the death of a Celtic great. Constantly chanting Fenian B*stards all afternoon and imploring us to go home.

Instead, they choose to ignore all of the above to focus on a ridiculous and ill-advised effigy of a blow up doll with a rangers scarf hanging. For the record, I, like most good Celtic fans absolutely condemn this and want the people responsible to be held accountable. Sadly, The Rangers board do not have the same wish as it pertains to their own fans

A pattern is emerging – When Hibernian BEAT Rangers fair and square in the cup final, a jubilant pitch invasion ensued. While most Hibs fans came onto celebrate, why was there even one Gers fan on the pitch is beyond me. The Rangers board at the time claimed self-defence and again enabled them when in actuality the gutter trash from their support were spoiling for a fight. This has been justified with the majority of arrests that day coming from the Rangers end. Poor Rangers they cried, a greetin’ statement after they were beat.

Fast forward to the present, Rangers get beat and another greetin’ statement has emerged. To claim to be the victim of Sectarian hatred when last week they were posing with an Orange flute band who memorialised a Catholic killer that very night, to claim to be the victim of hatred when we have footage of their fans wrecking Celtic Park while indulging in the most vile of Sectarian chants, to claim to be the victim when they constantly point score and chant about paedophilia to the general public is not just laughable it’s downright hysterical. Oh and we’ll just pretend we’ve never seen any effigies of our former captain and manager being hung and burned in bonfires 😉

The bottom line is The Rangers lost a game, they didn’t just lose it however, they were humiliated on the pitch. They now try to inexplicably take the moral high ground in an attempt to drag Celtic down because they couldn’t on Saturday. Nice try.

Here is Celtic’s emphatic, professional and reasonable retort to the crayon scribbling that came out of Ibrox today.

“Celtic will not become involved in a tit for tat spat regarding all events at Celtic Park on Saturday

“We will deal with all issues arising in a proper and professional manner in line with our well established policies.

“Saturday was a fantastic event for the club and our fans worldwide. We thank the overwhelming majority of our supporters for the positive backing they gave to the team and for making this such a great occasion.”

Clear and concise from Celtic, I have no doubt MY club will deal with the fans who brought the spotlight under the club with the use of these idiotic and insensitive blow up dolls.

We do not pander to the lowest common denominator and will continue to embarrass this new club on and off the field by how we conduct ourselves.

Hail Hail.

  1. Their lack of self awareness is unbelievable.
Such an obvious ploy to deflect the spotlight away from their transparent inadequacies, both on and off the pitch is risible.
The gall of a club, who turn a blind eye to the supremacist, sectarian chanting on a weekly basis and who further defend the despicable behaviour of their fans, to try and claim the moral high ground is a really desperate tactic by the Sevco hierarchy.
No doubt the compliant media will run with this over the next few days.

  2. I haven’t seen any statements released by both clubs. Normally they’d post these on their websites for fans to see so i think you’re talking shite.

    • Are you suggesting that this is made up ??Statements were released yesterday and quite well publisised on the radio and TV. So no cnut is talking shire ?

  3. I’m sure after the cup semi from last season there directors said the sectarian singing was just banter I may be wrong, but this mob prs consultant are really earning their level best money.

  4. “Sevconians” Frustrated because Celtic Supporters were allegedly singing Sectarian Songs & It made them (Frustrated) Have you ever heard so much shite, You’ve got to laugh at them, They do keep us amused lol.
