CELTIC have tonight signed Dorus de Vries to a new deal which will run until 2019.

The goalkeeper who hasn’t seen much first team football has committed to Celtic in the hope of breaking through to the first team.

While he had a tumultuous start to his Celtic career, Brendan Rodgers believes the player is someone worth having in and around the first team and he did well when he was called upon earlier this season.

Brendan Rodgers has been very active trying to sign up his invincible side to new contracts with Dedryk Boyata in advanced talks to sign a new deal, and just having resigned Tierney to a new deal the Irishman isn’t messing about.

  1. Give him some games. He has infinitely better distribution than Gordon. Dorus is a better all round goalkeeper IMHO, although Gordon can be good on his day.
