We reported this morning Celtic are now taking extra measures outside the ground to keep out rival fans with the threat of mass congregations still in the air.

The board put up a fence around Celtic Park after protests last year but they have now upped their game after the weekend’s sorry scenes in Govan and George square.

There appears to be a credible threat to Celtic Park being overrun by rival fans which has prompted the extra measures.

However, Celtic supporter liaison officer, John Paul Taylor wanted to make note the Celtic Way is still open to Celtic fans until 7pm every evening.

It’s been over a year since supporters have gone through the turnstiles of the stadium. When we have been allowed to travel, many Celtic supporters have made the pilgrimage to the East End of Glasgow to make the walk up the Celtic Way, get some fresh air and take in the surroundings.

I think it’s safe to say we’re all missing walking up the Celtic Way on a busy match day.

Hopefully we won’t be gone another year, but if you’re able to travel to the stadium and want to see the statues, and walk around, you’re still able to do it.
