Celtic’s social media has captured an incredible moment pre-match ahead of today’s match against St. Mirren at Celtic Park, with Liam Scales and Adam Idah pictured alongside former Celtic and Ireland goalkeeper Pat Bonner.

Bonner, who played for Celtic from 1978 until 1997, currently works as a pundit for the BBC, covering Celtic games.

He is often calm and measured in his criticism, unlike a number of pundits who tend to go overboard in the direction of praise or critcism.

The Irishman will be hopeful that the club can further add to the Irish contingent, with Caoimhin Kelleher recently fuelling speculation over a summer move to the club.

Idah has been a revelation since joining on loan from Norwich City in January, whereas Scales has broken into the first team this season amidst a centre-back injury crisis and has not looked back in becoming Brendan Rodgers’ number one centre-back alongside Cameron Carter-Vickers.

Idah’s future at the club is far from certain, with Celtic yet to begin negotiations with Norwich over a permanent transfer.

Liam Scales however, recently signed a new deal at the club until 2028 with the Irishman clearly a big part of Rodgers’ plans for the future.
