While we were all waiting to see if the book would be thrown at Scott Brown for a non incident on Tuesday night, the SFA surpassed themselves when they instead charged Celtic striker Albian Ajeti with simulation.

As penalties go, it was soft but there was contact between Albian and the keeper.

How the SFA plan to prove it was a dive will certainly be interesting. A Celtic source spoke to RecordSport on Thursday evening after the charge came through and claimed the club were ‘astonished’.

With an appeal set to be put in for the striker, Albian will be free to play against Motherwell on Saturday with the hearing for any appeal likely to place Tuesday next week.

We can’t see anything other than a Celtic victory at Hampden, but you just never know.

The Swiss striker will likely start the match against Motherwell after his second half performance against Kilmarnock.

Peter Lawwell must take them to task on this erroneous charge.

  1. This is nothing short of outragious!
It shows, quite clearly, the agenda against Celtic this season from the powers that be. The penalty situation, the breaking up of play in Celtic games, the thugs being given a free hand to do as they like on the park without censur.
I’ve never seen a season were refs gets in the way of play so often as this season. I could go on all day about every small decision, it’s been shocking from day one, throw in the viral sh!t, Boli, Dubai…etc…shocking
