The news coming out today about virtual season tickets has raised a lot of questions about how this will be implemented.

With fans locked out of the game for the foreseeable future there is a need for flexibility and innovation.

With the news very fresh, Celtic are still finalising their plans before they go public with what’s on the menu.

A source at Celtic has told us today the club will be quick to respond to many of the questions ones plans have been firmed up.

The source told Celtsarehere: “STH’s will have automatic access but not clear if it can be sold beyond those”

“There will be NO additional costs to STH’s but unknown at this point if season ticket prices will be reduced”

On the question of Celtic TV being able to handle 50k plus new subscribers the source told us.

“I believe they have the infrastructure in place”

With August being the ultimate aim to restart football in this country, it’s going to be a race against time to get things in place across the league.

The news that Sky Sports are happy for clubs to sell virtual season tickets to gain vital revenue is a huge bonus.

It looks like when we do get back to playing football, flag day at Celtic Park is going to be something like none of us have experienced before. Empty stadiums will be the norm until the government can be more confident about the current crisis.
