Celtic have confirmed a change to their Scottish Premiership schedule.
Celtic’s visit to St Mirren is now set for a Saturday night kick-off after being selected for live television coverage.
The champions’ clash with Craig McLeish’s side in Paisley on Saturday, September 5 was originally due to get underway at 3 pm.
Instead, the match will now kick off at 8 pm, with Sky Sports choosing the fixture for live broadcast.
Supporters have now been notified of the revised start time, adding another evening fixture to an already busy opening spell of the campaign.

Martin O’Neill’s side began the 2026/27 Premiership season with a 1-0 win over Dundee at Celtic Park. Last season’s top-scorer Benjamin Nygren made the difference, heading home in the second half to secure all three points and give Celtic the ideal start to their title defence.
Attention now turns to Rugby Park this weekend, where the Celts travel to face Kilmarnock on Sunday, August 9. That match kicks off at 1.30 pm and will also be shown live on Sky Sports.
The alteration to the St Mirren fixture means the Hoops will play their first Saturday night league match of the new season, something supporters do not often see in the domestic calendar.
It also comes in the middle of a demanding run of fixtures.
Three days before travelling to St Mirren, the Hoops host Aberdeen under the lights. That match is scheduled for Wednesday, September 2 with a 7.45 pm kick-off, giving O’Neill’s squad another midweek test before returning to league action on the Saturday evening.
While television selections are regular for the club, they continue to shape the fixture list during the opening months of the campaign. Fans planning travel must now adjust to the later finish against St Mirren in Paisley.
