Reports overnight claim Celtic are trying to pull out all the stops to re-sign Fraser Forster and the Scottish Champions ARE open to a permanent deal at the right price.

The goalkeepers current time at Celtic will finish on Tuesday at midnight at which point Fraser is expected to return to his parent club.

Neil Lennon will be without Craig Gordon next term and by Wednesday, Scott Bain will be the club’s only senior goalkeeper.

According to SunSport, Celtic are trying to push for a deal to keep Fraser at the club and are holding out hope Southampton are willing to do business.

The Geordie keeper has been sensational since his return to Celtic Park back in August of last year. His shock return met with a mixed reaction at the time, supporters who were unsure of his return aren’t anymore.

It would give the Celtic fans a major lift if Fraser was to come onboard for the ten in a row season.
