CELTIC face a major sweat to see if Osdonne Edouard will be able to play any part in Celtic’s final three fixtures after he was taken off as a precaution in the win over Hearts.

Not only that but with a deal not yet in place, it could potentially be the last game Osdonne plays for the club

The player who grabbed a brace in the title clincher last week kept his place in the side for the Tynecastle visit and acquitted himself well – finding a decent run of form.

However, the young Frenchman could be ruled out for the cup final in just a few weeks time if the injury is what Brendan Rodgers suspects.

“It looked like a hamstring, so we’ll need to assess it.” Rodgers admitted.

“It would be a real shame if he was ruled out. He’s been brilliant for us as he’s developed and improved.

“If it’s a hamstring it would end his season. Odsonne’s injury meant we had to take Moussa Dembele off as a precaution.”

Celtic play Kilmarnock on Wednesday night followed by Aberdeen at the weekend before having a week to recover for the Scottish Cup Final against Motherwell.

It’s safe to say Osdonne would have been a part of all three squads and maybe has an outside chance of making it.

Celtic are hoping to a tie a deal up for the French star quickly but taking nothing for granted.

  1. JoJo he is rumoured to be available for between 7 and 9 million do you see Big Pete and the Tories authorising this? I would love to say yes but history indicates that the Celtic board will want 6 players for this amount. Our board are the main reason some of our neighbours are so confident Gerrard can do a job in a year. They are our worst enemy. They will mysteriously get money from somewhere but watch as our board try to beat them on the cheap. Hopefully Rodgers and the increasingly complacent support let them know that this is unacceptable and that the gap must be maintained.

  2. A quote fae John Stein, ‘Getting blood from a stone, is much easier than Cfc giving you blank cheque book for new players’. Short arms long pocket’s and loans. Is the cheeze board way. Always, time to believe in St Brendan. And back him, he can’t buy the players on the wages they give him
