There’s no doubt about it, Christopher Jullien’s Celtic career looks to be over.

Ange Postecoglou has named two competitive squads this season, the Frenchman hasn’t featured in either of them. Even when Stephen Welsh was out with an illness, the Celtic manager opted to put Carl Starfelt on the bench despite not having any sort of pre-season training behind him.

Moritz Jenz went into the first team and scored his first foal for the club, staking his own claim for a place in this Celtic side.

Chris came back from injury in January this year with many expecting the big man to head back into the squad and pick up where he left off.

Instead, Ange has only given Chris 15 minutes of competitive of football in a Scottish Cup tie last season.

Schalke looked set to sigh the former Toulouse defender on-loan earlier this summer, but the deal fell through.

Celtic are actively looking to sell fringe players before the window closes. The French defender is on top wages, and to get him out and off the wage bill would clear the way for movement in the other direction.
