This evening, Celtic confirmed that Chris Jullien and James Forrest are not in attendance at this summer’s training camp in Wales.

James Forrest has been identified as a close contact of someone who tested positive for COVID, and under current guidelines, he must isolate for 10 days.

Chris Jullien is still recovering from his injury sustained while clearing the ball off the line in a league match against Dundee United last December. Jullien has shown himself to be progressing in his rehab, posting photos and videos of himself back on the pitch.

The Bhoys travelled to Wales yesterday and began preparations for tomorrows match against Sheffield Wednesday.

With no right sides winger, if Ange Postecoglou is to play a formation with wingers, Karamoko Dembele is almost certain to start. After being starved of game time last season the 18-year-old could have a chance to impress the manager in an attempt to secure a place in next season’s team.

This will also allow new signing Osaze Urhoghide to play in a more centralised defensive position as he too will look to be part of Postecoglou’s plans for next season.
