According to reports, Celtic’s soon to be out of contract treble treble-winning star, Craig Gordon is subject to interest from down south.

RecordSport reports the player is wanted by Huddersfield when his contract runs out at the end of June. The goalkeeper who has been in the sidelines apart from the odd game since Fraser Forster returned and now looks unlikely to sign a new deal with the Scottish Champions – even if Fraser is only here on loan.

Gordon, 37, wanted to leave in January but Neil Lennon wouldn’t allow it because he Wanstead three goalkeepers in the ranks in case of an injury crisis.

Gordon has been sensational for Celtic since signing under Ronny Deila. The Scottish goalkeeper has his own place in Celtic history as the goalkeeper to win an invincible treble.

His role has become diminished under Neil Lennon, but he’s stayed professional. If Huddersfield want him, they can sign Craig on a pre-contract right now.
