MIKEY JOHNSTON has hinted he’s ready to make his Celtic return after the international break after posting an image of himself in training on Instagram with a sand timer attached.

The attacking midfielder hasn’t played for the Hoops since he helped his side to a victory at Ibrox at the start of September. Since then, the player has been recovering from injury and looking to get back to full fitness.

The October international break has provided the player space to get back up to speed and by the looks of it, the Celtic youth product could be in contention to play some part against Ross County on Saturday.

Johnston had a top start to the season which was halted suddenly by the Ibrox injury. However, the player will be looking to pick up where he left off. Since going out injured Mohamed Elyounoussi has come in and played the youngster’s position. With so many games coming up in the next few months it’s likely both will be used going forward.
