Celtic striker Leigh Griffiths was reportedly involved in a three-way car crash on Sunday evening.

As reported by the Sun, the 30-year old came out uninjured, alongside the others involved and there was only minor damage done to the vehicles. It is thought that the three cars had stopped to allow an ambulance on a 999 call to pass by on the Bellshill bypass in Lanarkshire.

A police spokesperson told the newspaper:

“About 7.49 pm on Sunday, 18 October 2020 a three-vehicle minor road traffic crash happened on the B7071 in Bothwell.

”There were no injuries and no further police action.”

I am sure we are all glad to hear that no one involved was injured, after what must have been a bit of a scare for everyone, including Leigh.

The striker recently made his return to the side, in a 2-0 win over St Johnstone, scoring a late crucial goal to opening the scoring in the game and ultimately lead us to the three points. He was also a substitute in the game at the weekend but couldn’t have that same impact as we fell to a 2-0 defeat, this time.

We all know how good a player Griff is and it is crucial that he continues to build up his fitness to a level in which he is able to play regularly in the side.
