The timing couldn’t be any worse for Celtic defender Greg Taylor but now he faces a fitness sweat to see if he’ll be able to play against Copenhagen on Thursday evening after going off injured at Pittodrie.

The Scottish left-back dislodged Boli Bolingoli in the position since the turn of the year and has been enjoying a good spell in the side.

However, it looks like the player could miss the trip which would be his first Euro tie with Celtic.

SunSport report the player is suffering from a hamstring injury. An injury Celtic aren’t likely to risk the player worsening by playing on this week.

Celtic have Boli and Hayed who can play the position so there’s no need to risk Taylor if he can’t be fit enough for the tie.

The bhoys are looking to go one better than the last few years in the Europa League where they’ve bowed out at this stage of the competition. Whoever starts will need to be at their best to give Celtic the best chance of progressing to the last 16.
