The hysteria surrounding Moi Elyounoussi using his phone on Thursday night was incredible. Some wanted to focus on the Celtic winger having a sneak peek at his phone rather than address the woeful result.

Moi was dragged through the mud by some in the media who wanted to push the narrative that it was an unforgivable offence.

It was silly to do it but he apologised and both he and Neil Lennon moved on.

But, of course, the man who can’t stop talking about Celtic, Kris Boyd had to have his say in SunSport on Saturday.

Boyd claimed no matter what Moi does, he will always be remembered for looking at his phone.

“There have been fleeting glimpses of the Norwegian’s talent but regardless of what he goes on to achieve, he will always be remembered more for Mobilephonegate. Look, I can understand him being unhappy at getting the hook on Thursday night. We have all been there.”

Fast forward to Sunday, by the third goal, people had certainly forgiven and forgotten.
