Celtic full-back Tony Ralston has made a much-needed return to first-team training as the injury woes continue to come for Ange Postecoglou.

The 22-year old has been missing after picking up a knock in the 1-0 victory over Hearts last Thursday night.

However, it looks like the right-back could be set for a return to action soon as he was pictured by the Daily Record in training yesterday ahead of the Hoops league fixture this weekend against Motherwell.

Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou will undoubtedly welcome that news, given the injury blows he has sustained to the likes of Jota and Kyogo Furuhashi in the last few weeks.

At this moment in time, Ange’s defensive options are probably as strong as they have ever been with the good form of Cameron Carter Vickers, Carl Starfelt and Stephen Welsh, as well as having two first-choice full-backs in Josip Juranovic and Greg Taylor feature last week against Dundee United.

Ralston adds to those options and could also be in with a shout of going straight back into the side after the improvements he has shown since the start of the season.
