Celtic star Odsonne Edouard has been named in a prestigious list of eight of the best young players in the world, known as ‘The Wanted Ones’ by FourFourTwo as cited by RecordSport.

The French striker has been named amongst players such as Lautaro Martinez (Inter Milan), Donny Van De Beek (Ajax) and Kai Havertz. All of which have been linked with huge money moves in the summer to clubs such as Real Madrid.

Edouard has lit up the Scottish Premiership this season, in particular coming back reall strong from the recent winter break. He has scored 21 league goals in the league so far, also picking up six assists. His closest competitor for the Golden Boot at this time, lying a huge eight goals behind, as rival striker Jermaine Defoe sits on 13 with only the one assist to go with it.

The Celtic support haven’t just been appreciating Edouard’s incredible goal and assists tally but also his all round play. You can see how much he influences this Celtic side, with his link-up and hold-up play.

As Celtic have switched to the 3-5-2 in recent weeks, Edouard has thrived. The two up front seems to be giving him even more freedom to terrorise opposition defences.

It is clear to see that it may be hard to hold onto the front man.
