OLIVIER NTCHAM had to go off at halftime in the Celtic versus Hearts game on Sunday due to injury.

The midfielder has blown hot and cold this season but there’s no doubt when he’s on his game, Nthcam can be vital.

There was a lot of talk in the summer about the player moving on after just one season with Porto allegedly bidding £15million for his services.

Celtic only paid around £4.5million for Olivier from Manchester City so that would have been a fantastic profit for the club had they chosen to take it.

However, Brendan Rodgers was keen to keep the Frenchman about and what’s better is the player is happy to be here.

Asked about the interest in the summer, Olivier was clear.

“I just concentrate on my football. It’s my agent’s job to deal with all the talk about transfers while I just focus on my job at Celtic,” he told SunSport.

“I am happy here and I feel I am getting better as a player with every game.”

After seeing Moussa Dembele and Dedryck Boyata both hit out at the club for not selling them at first, it’s refreshing to see Ntcham content with life at the club right now.

There will be his time to move on and when he does, hopefully, it’s mutual.
