CHRISTOPHER JULLIEN had incredible praise for one of his Celtic teammates on French TV this week when he described Karamoko Dembele to the presenters.
The big Celtic defender called the youngster a ‘phenomenon’ and revealed he hates playing piggy in the middle with the youngster because of his skills.
Speaking to French TV and cited by SunSport, Jullien said:
“I hate playing toro (piggy-in-the-middle) with him!
“He wants to mess with my legs too much, to put me in small bridges.
The first thing I saw when I arrived at the training centre, it’s (he’s) a phenomenon.
“He has undeniable qualities.
“He is lively and most of the time, the coach makes him play middle right.
“He was in U20s football for a very long time.
“The course between U20 and the pros is the one that makes the difference.
“You do not play against adults in U20s, so men, must follow and repeat in the big games.”
Jullien only came in over the summer but he already looks at home in the team. Spending £7m for the player was a big outlay for the club but it’s not just his defensive qualities that will make that fee seem small but his leadership ability and personality in the dressing room.
Celtic lost a lot of their big personalities in the dressing room over the summer with the likes of Mikael Lustig, Kieran Tierney and Dedryck Boyata moving on. It’s good to see the defender settled in and already full of praise for his team-mates.
Karamoko Dembele has had 45 minutes of first team football so far with Neil Lennon handing the player his debut on the final day of last season against Hearts. It’s only a matter of time before he gets more game time and shows more people what he can do.
And to right great player must be worth £20 million right now i see them still trying to sell two dead horses to English clubs now one for £20 million and the £10 million do they not understand you got to be winners over and over to get the big bucks they are after i would say forward as it stands is worth £4 to 5 million max to English clubs but the full back is only worth around £2 million max…..
They want want Celtic have players starting prices at £20 million plus…………
