Celtic winger Mohamed Elyounoussi has vowed that he and his team-mates will have belief and confidence in stopping a possible Parkhead title party.

As quoted by the Glasgow Times, there is a chance that the title race will officially be over this weekend if the Hoops fail to pick up all three points and Rangers win at home to St Mirren this afternoon. However, the Norweigan has insisted that the aim is to win every game and they are confident of doing so.

“We are aiming to win every game we go into. We have had a good week of training and preparation and the atmosphere in the squad is good. We will try to win all the games we have coming up, and also in the cup.

“Of course we don’t want that (Rangers winning the league at Parkhead) to happen, but our main focus is on ourselves and what we can produce in that game. Whatever happens in other games is not in our control.

“We can only control the games we play and do our best to win them. Nobody is thinking about what happens if we drop points. We will go into that game with a lot of confidence and belief and look to win it.”

Overall, this season has been a disaster. Whether that be results on the field or off-the-field incidents such as positive Covid cases or trips to Dubai, it seems to have been downfall after downfall.

That would just all be topped off by losing the league in our own backyard in two weeks time so it is crucial that the squad do all they can to stop any sort of possibility of that happening.

As a group of players, they have let fans down on too many occasions this season and it simply hasn’t been good enough. Going into the next few games that must change if it has not already.
