NIR BITTON has sent out a heartfelt message on Instagram to Patrick Roberts as the midfielder gets ready to return from 6 months out injured.

The Celtic star has not been in the team since February when a bad knee injury ended his season prematurely.

Nir had to undergo surgery and do a lot of rehab to get to the point where he’s ready to start light training.

However, when he gets back on the training field it will be without one of his best friends Patrick Roberts who went back to Manchester City in the summer and has now found a new home at Girona FC.

As the tricky winger gets set to take on Real Madrid today, Nir Bitton posted a massive heartfelt thank you to Paddy for helping him get through the dark times when he was fresh out of surgery.

Patrick Roberts had a great two and a half years at the club and will always be welcome back at Celtic Park.

We wish him all the best against Real Madrid today.
