He’s had to be patient after suffering an injury against Lazio but it appears that Hatem Elhamed is close to returning for Celtic and could play before the end of the year.
The defender posted this not so cryptic tweet on social media on Thursday, declaring he’s ‘almost there’ with a picture of him on the field.
Since going out injured, Jeremie Frimpong has come into the team and made the right back position his own. The youngster putting in a string of top performances in to make sure he couldn’t be left out of the side.
Hatem will come back in and likely get game time with Neil Lennon keen not to burn young Jeremie out during his first season as a first team professional.
Elhamed has been good when he has played for Celtic but injuries have played a big part in his Parkhead career so far.
