CARL STARFELT has been out injured since going off during Celtic’s 4-0 Glasgow Derby victory in September. The Swede has been watching from the sidelines as the club forge ahead through a vital part of the season.

Within Celtic Park and Lennoxtown, there’s hope Carl could be back and fit by the end of October. However, it now hinges on a visit to a specialist in London and the results of the visit.

Carl flew down to London on Tuesday to see a specialist about his knee injury and to undergo some rigorous tests. [SunSport]

If everything comes back alright, then it will be over to the Celtic doctors to get Carl back to full fitness.

The injuries feel like they’re piling up at the moment. CCV has been out for a number of weeks; Aaron Mooy picked up an injury this week along with David Turnbull and Callum McGregor went off during Celtic’s defeat to Leipzig on Wednesday.

It’s starting to have the feel of this time last season when we couldn’t catch a break when it came to injuries. We weathered the storm last season adn we’re hopefully in a better place to do so this time around.

Fingers crossed Carl Starfelt will be ready.
